The material of the casing consists of high-grade resin and it takes months until it is finished, whereupon the tailor-made plating is curved and cut into a contour using a natural diamond. The characteristic double rings are then integrated into the cap and barrel with the utmost precision. The writing instrument is then polished until it reaches a brilliant luster.

The Pelikan Souvern M1000 is Pelikan's flagship fountain pen. Thesolid black pen is complemented by 24k gold plated accents. The large nib is made of 18k gold, refined with a rhodium decor, and writing quality tested by hand.

The fountain penisequipped with a differential piston-filling mechanism with high-value brass components. The smooth operating piston mechanism allows you to fill this pen with bottled ink, and an ink window allows you to see your ink level.
