With Ice Technologies to disperse heat and a three-part construction, the Shimano XT RT86 160mm 6-Bolt Rotor stays cooler during long periods of braking. It ensures your mountain bike (MTB) brakes always work at their best and for longer too. The clad steel/alloy/steel rotor construction of the Shimano RT86 rotor allows heat generated from braking to radiate quickly through the aluminium core achieving surface temperature drops of around 50 degrees C. When used with Ice-Tec pads surface temperatures on the Shimano XT 160mm rotor can drop from around 400 to 300 degrees C, this provides great improvements in performance all around.
